CAPA 2023 Annual Review now available
The world has changed in many ways, not least of which is the focus on contemporary issues such as global climate change and sustainability. This is a dynamic area which has had a significant impact on our profession.
Jim Knafo, CAPA President, whose term ended at the end of 2023, noted, “With the confluence of opportunities and challenges, I am confident the profession can and will address these as it always does – and CAPA will look to play its role. In fact, it has become increasingly clear that the profession needs to collaborate effectively and be well-coordinated, nationally, regionally, and internationally.”
CAPA’s newly formulated Strategic Plan 2024-2028 is documented in the 2023 Annual Review. The strategic planning work confirmed that the existing purpose, vision and mission remain relevant. Key principles central to our strategic approach emphasised on increasing engagement, collaboration and agility to react to contemporary issues, opportunities and challenges.
CAPA Chief Executive, Brian Blood, commented that “From my perspective, I look at 2023 as a watershed year, a period of time that separates the past from the future, and witnesses elements of transition, change and progression.”
CAPA will continue the important work with members and stakeholders in making a difference. Continuing the momentum from 2023 into 2024, with the Strategic Plan in place, further positive impacts and outcomes are targeted.
