CAPA, in collaboration with the Global Accounting Alliance and the AICPA&CIMA, conducted a survey to gather basic, high-level data about what professional accountancy organisations (PAOs) are seeing in terms of the supply of aspiring accountants and the attractiveness of the accounting profession in their home country or globally. The survey was sent to 35 CAPA and GAA member bodies. Nearly all responded, including from 27 CAPA members, representing over 2.5 million accountants globally.

To obtain further understanding of our region, the survey is being extended to include additional PAOs based in Southeast Asia. A ‘supplement’ to the main report is anticipated to provide a focus on Asia.
